Javelin, from Javelin Software Corporation, is an analysis and reporting tool that offers features in excess of those found in spreadsheets. Unlike common spreadsheets, Javelin features the ability to manage complex relationship models between data and formulas. This gives users the ability to audit and document financial analysis models. Although some might argue that Javelin is more of an analysis tool than a spreadsheet, and defining rules is placed before data entry, one of its model "views" is a spreadsheet view that can be used similarly.

ZSoft PC Paintbrush is a bitmap drawing program visually similar to MacPaint. The earlier DOS versions were often bundled with Microsoft and Microsoft compatible mice, and were notable for supporting a huge variety of video adapters. It was bundled with machines from Eagle Computers, Hewlett-Packard, and Xerox.

Splash is a VGA-centric paint program created by Spinnaker Software in 1988. Steinman is a small spreadsheet program originally written in 1984 for the Commodore 64 by Barbara Steinman. The Steinman Spreadsheet is "output oriented", focusing on creating customized printed reports based on your spreadsheet data. distributed by SoftDisk with their Big Blue Disk magazine.

The Twin (1986) 0 Spreadsheet DOS

"The Twin", from Mosaic Software, is a spreadsheet that touts compatibility and visual similarity with Lotus 1-2-3. better graphics, a much lower price, and was not copy protected. It was a little slower than Lotus 1-2-3, but this was less of an issue for budget users. The Twin, along with Paperback VP-Planner and Borland Quattro Pro were the subject of a lawsuit claiming that duplicating the "look and feel" violated Lotus's copyrights.
