Splash is a VGA-centric paint program created by Spinnaker Software in 1988. Considering that VGA was only introduced in 1987 in conjunction with the IBM PS2 line, this is a pretty early entry in the VGA-compatible paint program market. pixel-level editing, an extensive internal help system, and can export images to TIFF and PC Paintbrush compatible files.

Certificate Maker, from Springboard, is a fun little program for printing a variety of styled certificates on your dot-matrix printer. You must refer to the manual to see what the templates look like, as it provides no on screen preview. Award Maker seems to be an offshoot of this product.

Springboard The Newsroom (1985) 0 Publishing DOS

"The Newsroom" is a very simplified desktop publishing program aimed at novices and children. It uses a simplified step-by-step interface similar to the original "The Print Shop", and bundles a variety of fun clipart images. requires a PC or PCJr with one floppy drive, CGA, and 128K of ram. Additionally, there were versions for the Apple II, and Commodore 64. transfer documents between any two instances of The Newsroom, even between the IBM/Apple/C64 platforms.

StepWay Desktop Publisher (1994) 0 Graphics Publishing DOS

StepWay Desktop Publisher is a very low-end budget graphics editor and desktop publisher for DOS. It appears to have been targeted at new computer users and educational markets. The StepWay software is considered "modular", with additional functionality added in separate modules, sold separately. The separate modules they sold included Desktop Publisher, Art Shop, To Do List, Checkbook, Banner, Cookbook, Home Inventory, Greeting Cards, Mail List, and Calendar.

The Office Publisher is a powerful high-end, yet friendly, WYSIWYG desktop publishing program created by the large Canadian publishing company Print Three and sold under its spin-off, Laser Friendly. Ventura Publisher, originally from Xerox, is a professional desktop publishing program for the GEM graphical environment and later Windows. VisiTrend/VisiPlot is a no-nonsense data analysis and graphing tool targeted at business users who wished to perform analysis on large spreadsheets. It is part of the Visi Series of applications from VisiCorp, that also included VisiWord, VisiCalc, VisiFile, VisiSpell, VisiSchedule and VisiTutor. There was also a version for the Apple II.

WordPerfect Presentations is WordPerfect Corp's offering to the desktop presentation market. It is an enhancement to and replacement for DrawPerfect. In addition to DrawPerfect's charting, it adds slide printing, on-screen slide shows, templates, a text outliner, a slide sorter, and supports multimedia audio. At release, it competed against PowerPoint, Aldus Persuasion, Harvard Graphics, and Lotus Freelance Graphics. Notably, it did all this while the initial release was for DOS. A version for Microsoft Windows was later released.
