VoiceType Simply Speaking 3.x
VoiceType is a voice dictation and speech recognition program from IBM. Compared to other products, VoiceType was considered fairly fast and accurate, but required several hours of "training" to achieve that. It was aimed at a fairly niche voice dictation market.
It competed against Kurzweil Voice and Dragon Dictate.

VoiceType Simply Speaking is a voice dictation and speech recognition program for Windows 95 and NT 4. It also offers text-to-speech output, and adds verbal interface control of the Windows 95 desktop.
Simply Speaking is a scaled down version of IBM's full VoiceType product for the home and educational market.
