Lotus HAL 1.x
Lotus HAL (Human Access Language) is a natural-language querying interface for Lotus 1-2-3 r2. That is, one can enter standard English phrases instead of typing "complex" formulas.
It also adds other usability features to Lotus 1-2-3 such as creating dynamic links between worksheets, simplified macro creation, and an "undo" feature.
Lotus HAL was very heavily advertised and promoted as a major game changer. However, in practice using an English language interface is simply too imprecise.
