IBM Personal Computer Graphics Terminal Emulator is essentially a demonstration application developed using the IBM Graphical Kernel System. GKS is a shared, standardized graphics library, designed primarily to support IBM's high end CAD oriented IBM Professional Graphics Controller. GKS supports IBM's other video systems through the use of interchangeable device drivers.
The Terminal Emulator program is a graphical "icon driven" system that emulates Tektronix 4010, 4012, and 4014 graphics terminals with the Extended Graphics Module (EGM) and selected features of the 4105. The ADM-3A is also supported. It allows you to access host-computer Software, send and receive files, and print both alphanumeric and graphic output. In addition, it reproduces the effects of the many special function keys available on the Tektronix family of supported terminals.
Archive includes three 5.25" 360k floppy disk images. One application disk, and two device driver disks that are shared with the other GKS packages.
