Adobe Premiere 4.0

Originally developed for the Mac, Adobe Premiere is a tool for editing digital videos. Earlier video editing systems used specialized hardware. With Adobe Premiere, one could freely re-arrange shots in any order, rather than sequentially, and source material could remain unaltered. Premiere 1.0 made use of Apple's newly released QuickTime video technology. Although QuickTime could also edit videos, Premier was a full-featured professional tool. The first Windows version came several years, and several releases, after the Macintosh version.

Adobe Premiere 4.0 is the first Windows version that was on par with the Mac version.

Installation instructions

Requires Windows 3.1 or NT 3.5x and minimum of 256 color display drivers installed.

Note: Doesn't seem to get along with the QEMU Cirrus Logic video driver.

For the Mac version, import the .SIT file in to a MacIntosh drive and extract with StuffIt Expander. Works under Basillisk II. The SIT file is not complete, as it lacks disk images or the setup program.
