3D Studio 2.0

3D Studio, not to be confused with the later "3d Studio Max" product, is a DOS-based tool from Autodesk for creating 3d models and animations. It made available to the PC many features that had previously been the exclusive domain of high end workstations, such as those from SGI, and did so in an integrated all-in-one package.

Rendering features included texture mapping, specular highlights, multiple light sources, shadows, bump mapping, and anti-aliasing.

It was designed with the ability to use third party extensions, of which many were made, and could create animation.

The later 3D Studio Max was a completely new replacement product designed to address the architectural limitations of 3D Studio.

Wanted: 3D Studio 1.00.
