First released in 1985, the Microsoft Access Business Information Access Program is a telecommunications program that features VT100, VT52 and TTY terminal emulation, macros, a powerful scripting language, self-learning scripts, data import/export facilities, multiple windowed sessions, and built in support for a variety of on-line services. It competed with Procomm, Crosstalk, Relay Gold, and PC-Talk.

Microsoft MS-DOS OEM Adaption Kit (1987) 1 DOS

The Microsoft MS-DOS OEM Adaption Kit is a set of source code and binary object files used by OEMs to add custom hardware support. Such hardware support could range from simple hardware add-ons to completely non IBM-PC hardware compatible x86 machines. By the time of MS-DOS 3.3, the market had mostly settled on generic IBM PC hardware clones that would run "vanilla" MS-DOS distributions. MS-DOS 3.2 was the first DOS version to have a true retail "vanilla" release.

Microsoft Multiplan Junior 2 is a French-language spreadsheet for DOS that is based on the spreadsheet module of Microsoft Works for DOS. Like Microsoft Works, it has drop-down menus and charting abilities. It uses the Multiplan name, but is not related to the previous Multiplan products. It appears that this product was not available in other languages.

MicroStation (1991) 3 Graphics DOS

First released in 1985, MicroStation is a computer aided design program originally written to read and later write Interactive Graphics Design System (an early single-purpose hardware/software CAD system) design files. It was influenced by Bentley System's 1984 graphics terminal based PseudoStation software. The file format, and therefore the software, became a standard in government agencies.

MS CD Extensions (MSCDEX) (1997) 15 DOS

MSCDEX is the real-mode MS-DOS file system redirector used in conjunction with your CD-ROM driver for accessing CD drives. The CD-ROM driver, which is provided by your CD-ROM drive manufacturer, provides the hardware and protocol specific software interface to your drive. MSCDEX interfaces with this driver to present the raw CD-ROM data as a file system accessible as a DOS drive letter.

Partition Commander (1988) 1 Utility DOS

Partition Commander is a Wizard based partition and disk utilization tool. It supports FAT, FAT32, NTFS, HPFS, and some Unix file systems.
It runs in real-mode DOS and installs from only two floppy disks. It competed directly against Partition Magic. Memory Commander, a 386 Expanded/Extended Memory Manager.

PartitionMagic (1995) 47 Utility DOS Windows

A tool from PowerQuest, and later Symantec, that enables manipulation of partitions through its own bootable media. PartitionMagic can shrink, grow, or move partitions without the need to backup and restore files in that partition. It supported a variety of file systems, and the core DOS-based parition tool fit on a bootable 1.44mb floppy disk. It was extremely popular, and made installing or removing multiple OSes much easier.
