DeluxePaint II is a bitmap pixel graphics editor that was extremely popular on the Amiga platform and used by many developers to produce video game graphics. It was ported to DOS and the Atari ST.
It features a very large set of drawing functions for a low-cost program, and is oriented around editing palletized 256-color images.
On the PC, it competed against other low-cost image editors such as PC Paintbrush, PC Paint, Splash!, Dr. Halo, and Colorix VGA Paint.
