DataEase 1.0 (Win)
DataEase, from DataEase International Inc., USA., is a fast, easy to use yet powerful, menu-driven relational database development system for the IBM PC. Not copy protected. It featured an all-in-one database, development environment, form designer, reporting, and programming language. Its main strength was as an application develoipment environment that required minimal programming and automated/integrated many implementation and maintenance tasks. There was also a sort-of Unix version "DataEase XDOS". Initially, it competed with dBase, Condor, and R:Base.

DataEase Express 1.0 is the first version of DataEase for Microsoft Windows. It has an object oriented interface, includes graphical form and report creation, supports DDE, OLE, and can connect to external databases. It can use databases produced by DataEase for DOS, however it lacks many functions of the DOS version. It was considered rather buggy, and not quite ready to replace DataEase for DOS.
