OS/2 Warp 4 OS/2 Warp 4.0

OS/2 Warp 4 incorporated a number of new technologies over OS/2 Warp 3, such as Java, OpenGL, OpenDoc, and VoiceType. It also updated the appearance of the Workplace Shell.

OS/2 Warp 4.0 requires a boot disk to start up for setup. Boot disk is provided in the download.

Installation instructions

Boot your computer or emulator using the Installation diskette. It will ask you to swap disks until the machine is booted into the setup program. Installation is fairly straightforward and will work in any modern emulator. In addition, this OS will run on anything newer than a 486 up until a P4. Reference the requirements on the side for recommended requirements.

Note: XDF floppy images require a special tool to create. They do not work with USB floppy drives, and are not compatible with generic DOS/Windows.
