HomeWord 1.00 (IBM)

HomeWord, from Seierra On-Line, is a friendly simplified word processor targeted at home users. It was originally released for the Apple II and ported to the IBM PC, C64, and Atari. It competed with other simplified home-oriented word processors such as BankStreet Writer. It was followed up by HomeWord Plus and HomeWord II

This version is an IBM OEM version distributed as part of IBM's Productivity Series. It requires an IBM PCJr with 128k. It includes a keyboard overlay for the IBM PCJr keyboard.

Important: This version WILL NOT RUN on an IBM PC or IBM PC emulator or virtualizer. The software detects the presence of an IBM PCJr and refuses to run if you are not running a PCJr.

This software has been tested in the MESS IBM PCJr emulator, using the ImageDisk image.

Archive includes one 5.25" 180k (single sided) floppy disk image.

Important: This disk contains copy protection. To run it, you must write a floppy disk using the ImageDisk, SCP, Kryoflux, or Transcopy image.

Protection type: mis-numbered sectors on track 39.
