DOOM 1.0
Doom is the original fully immersive 3-D first person shooter from ID software.
It is historically significant, as it is considered the first to bring together a fully immersive game world, including full-screen game play, 3d in-game movement, textured floors and ceilings, lighting levels, walls at arbitrary angles, stereo sound, and high-speed shoot-em-up game play. Doom's multiplayer capability and easy modibility kept people coming back for more.

The start-up banner identifies itself as "version 0.99", however this is what was released as "1.0".
