Clout 2.x

CLOUT is a natural language information retrieval tool. With CLOUT, one can search database files using plain English, and it includes a customizable dictionary. Questions may include arithmetic expressions, subtotals, data grouping, and combinations of complex conditions for selecting data. Questions can be fine tuned with menu driven assistance.

For example, a question might look like "Display the names of the employees who work on the telemetry project, who have cumulative sales greater than $200K, who are not male, and whose age is less than 30"

With the addition of FileGateway, this capability is expanded to other file formats including dBase II, Lotus 1-2-3, and PFS:File.

This version appears to support both R:Base 4000 and R:Base 5000.
