Visual studio 6.0 sha1sums

edited July 2016 in Software
I'm trying to verify the download of microsoft visual studio 6.0 form the library. Here is the link:
https://winworldpc.com/download/0CD5B7D ... 04A6F17893

Neither the 7zip file nor any of the isos matches the given sha1sum. What's up?

  • It verifies OK for me. The sha1sum is for the 7zip download.

Did it uncompress OK? If not, then which mirror did you download it from, and does downloading from a different mirror make any difference?
  • Never mind. Compared the wrong sha1sum to the wrong file
  • I also downloaded it, but all MD5 checksum is just same.
Also all ISO image of AutoCRC are valid (ok).
Of course all 3 ISO images are over dumped, (overdumped bytes are filled as 00h.)
  • Do you have a good tool for detecting overdumping?

    No.

    I've checked it as manually.

All IOS images include AutoCRC / ExclCRC.

I edited all image by 010 Hex Editor.

CRC32 must be FFFFFFFF if AutoCRC is valid.
  • Interestingly I've found this guide on installing Visual Studio 6.0 on windows 7. I haven't testet id yet.....

www.fortypoundhead.com/showcontent.asp?artid=20502. Maybe someone should save that guide in case i dissapears at some point
