My older brothers got it with brand new PCs back in the day... First Windows 95 OSR 2.5 French (I think it was for the old Cyrix PC we had at home), then Win98SE French for a couple of Pentium 3 + Voodoo3-based PCs.
Ever since, I use either of them (but 98SE most of the time) on my retro PC(*) for games that don't work with modern hardware nor emulation software.
(*)(hardware config : ASUS P2B-F, Pentium 3 Slot 1 @ 800 MHz, 512 MB SDRAM PC100, GeForce 4Ti 4200, 3dfx Voodoo 2, Sound Blaster AWE64, 160 GB Hitachi HDD, 98SE/XP multiboot setup
