Windows 2000 Updates?

edited February 2017 in Software
First of all, sorry for my bad english, I am german and I need to work on my grammar.

So, a few days ago I found my anicent Laptop in the basement, and I wanted to make it work again. So I installed Windows 2000 on it. After some difficulties with the installation, I could boot everything up and use it. I figured out that (obviously) the Windows Update Page for Windows 2000 doesn´t exist anymore, and some of my drivers don´t work. Normally I download all the needed drivers via Windows Update.
Is there any chance to get the latest Windows 2000 Update Package? I googled around but all the sites that offered the downloads do not exist anymore.

Thanks in advance.

  • Well, I've never heard about Windows 2000 SE.

If you believe Windows 2000 SE, can you attach screenshot?
    (Of course I don't believe.)

    I know Windows 2000 exists as Original (SP0) , with SP1 / SP2 / SP3 / SP4.
  • ibmpc5150 is right, Windows 2000 had four service packs, none with an "SE" designation. You may be mixing up 2000 with 98. 98SE was released in 1999, same year as Windows 2000.
  • My bad, I was confusing Windows 98 with 2000. Thanks for the correction.

I use Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4.
  • That's surprising that Google doesn't yield many good results. The Unofficial Update Rollup is something to consider, but I've always had problems with it myself.
