Finance Manager, from Human Engineered Software (HESWARE), is an easy to use home-oriented financial program. It can create checks and keep track of multiple account balances. It appears this program was also licensed and sold under the name "Peachtree Home Accountant". There were versions for both the Apple II and IBM PC.

First Released in 1986 by the University of Delaware, GUIDO (Graded Units for Interactive Dictation Operations) was self-paced Ear Training instructional software designed by and for use at the University of Delaware. It started out around 1983 as a program for Heath/Zenith CP/M systems. Interestingly, Home Finance System III includes executables for both IBM PC and Zenith Z-100 Series computers.

HyperDOS (1990) 0 Utility PIM DOS

HyperDOS is a simplistic menu shell bundled with Leading Technology PCs and offered as a standalone commercial product. It includes a file manager, built in help, and a number of accessories. It tries to clone the general appearance of the IBM PS/1 shell. Oddly, it starts off in a GUI mode, but all of the tools are text mode programs. Version 2.0 includes the ability to use sound cards.

The system can be used with any single module, or multiple modules can work together. The Business Management Series can interface with the Personal Decision Series. It was criticized as being too costly, bloated, and overly complicated.

Lotus Metro (1986) 0 Utility PIM DOS

Lotus Metro is a set of resident desktop management tools similar to Borland Sidekick or Popcorn desktop. Metro includes an appointment book, phone book, scheduler, calculator, clipboard, and a text editor. A user can call up these tools while almost any other DOS program is running. In addition to performing small tasks without exiting their primary program, Metro can copy information from or to the screen. It also include macro functionality for automating tasks comparable to Borland SuperKey. It was primarily targeted at existing users of Lotus 1-2-3 and Lotus Symphony.
